The fast food giant has been a mainstay in the world of entertainment for decades, from classic movies and sitcoms to cult themes and anime series. So, based on that storyline, on August 9, McDonald’s unveiled its new As Featured In Meal: a collection of fan-favorite dishes that have appeared in the world of film, television and music, visually referencing nearly two dozen culinary cameos in pop culture.

Now, McDonald’s is launching a new episode hand in hand with Marvel to incorporate a menu inspired by the ‘Loki‘ series into its catalog. One that will vary globally, but will include three main products to choose between 10 pieces of McNuggets, the classic Quarter Pounder with cheese or the Big Mac, all along with medium fries, a drink and a sweet and sour sauce whose packaging sponsors the second season of the series, which will be available on October 6 on Disney+.

In addition, the sauce will include a QR code that customers can scan to access, via Snapchat, exclusive content and/or a special augmented reality experience created by Marvel Studios.

Beyond that, McDonald’s announced that the brand will also appear in the new season of the Marvel Studios series, acquiring a starring role in the audiovisual piece.

As for the newly revealed ‘Loki’ images, we can see sequences such as Tom Hiddleston’s god of deception meeting Sylvie at a McDonald’s counter, or Mobius and a TVA prisoner eating a McDonald’s menu in what appears to be a 1970s-era version of the iconic restaurant.
