The Weeknd and Blue Bottle Coffee have teamed up to develop and introduce their latest offering: Samra Blend Vol. 1. as part of their co-branded Samra Origins line.
Samra Blend Vol. 1 coffee was created with The Weeknd and his mother, Samra, as an ode to Ethiopian coffee, using the iconic Ethiopian brewing methods of washed and natural.
This new version of the stimulating drink features notes of raspberry and citrus blossom, evoking a fresh take on the classic Ethiopian flavor. The aromatic profile was inspired by The Weeknd’s childhood taste, which resembles the coffee used in a traditional Ethiopian ceremony called ‘Buna Tetu’, which he and his family performed regularly.
Beyond the coffee, the capsule also includes the 16 oz ‘Samra Origins MiiR’ glass with straw designed in minimalist stainless steel to keep drinks hot or cold at all times.
The Weeknd and Blue Bottle Coffee’s Samra Blend Vol. 1 is available exclusively at select Blue Bottle coffee shops, as well as on the Samra Origins website for $22 per 8-ounce bag of whole bean.
