This is OBA, Tapas Magazine’s T de Oro restaurant in Castilla-La Mancha that you must visit

Our gastronomic route continues through Castilla-La Mancha and the obligatory stop is at the OBA restaurant in Casas-Ibáñez (Albacete).

We continue discovering the revelation restaurants that you have to try throughout 2023. In this gastronomic route we are stopping in those restaurants that won the T de Oro Awards of Tapas Magazine. There are 18 in total, one for each community. Today we stop in the gastronomic proposal of Javier Sanz, Juan Sahuquillo and the whole team of the restaurant OBA, which has also obtained its first Michelin star. Do not miss it!

OBA

The new adventure of Javier Sanz, Juan Sahuquillo and his team is a tribute to the product, local producers and the environment that surrounds them. These young chefs have carried out a research work in their territory, looking for local products, tradition, techniques and products rescued from oblivion. They work with river fish, riverside vegetables, endangered species, ferments and ancestral techniques. Pike roe, sheep butter and white asparagus miso, trout cooked in oak charcoal, Celtiberian kid with herbs, draught duck with fermented vegetables or hare with berries. The wine list, consisting only of references that have a low production, is a real discovery.
