Stevie Wonder is one of the most influential musical artists in the history of music and he has just landed in Madrid in the form of a cocktail bar. Well, more like his essence. Wonder Studio is a new bar in the heart of the Salamanca neighbourhood (C/ Lagasca, 103), inspired by the legendary artist. Among the partners who have backed this establishment is Mexican actor Alejandro Speitzer.

Wonder Studio is an innovative space where signature cocktails, music and atmosphere combine perfectly to offer a unique evening where you can relive the golden years of music. The venue is totally inspired by the musical tastes of Stevie Wonder, one of the greatest representatives of the history of music. The musical element will be the protagonist in Wonder Studio, as it will act as a common thread to unite all the pieces of this experience.

Design by Juan Bengoa and letter by Guglielmo CalabrĂČ

The design and interior design of Wonder has been carried out by the architectural studio of Juan Bengoa, who has managed to transport the visitor to the 70s through leather, wallpaper and vinyls. In addition, thanks to the retro lighting and décor, different atmospheres are created, along with an authentic musical experience thanks to a sound quality that will accompany the diner while enjoying the exceptional cocktails that are served.

Another plus of the venue is that the signature cocktail menu has been created by the artist Guglielmo CalabrĂČ, who has been inspired by the most iconic singles of Funk and the 70s. Among the cocktails recommended by CalabrĂČ are the Here I am Baby, a cocktail to feel the groovy in your body; or the Part Time Lovers, one of Stevie’s favourites, which gave its title to one of his songs. It is made with tequila, lemon juice, elderflower liqueur and aperol.

The venue also has a Funk Room downstairs. Stevie called it his ‘doom’, as it’s a darker space where you can escape and enjoy the dancing, sound and lights to the rhythm of funk, groove and electronic music.

Wonder Studio belongs to the La Bikina Group, which also has the Sal Mestiza, restaurant in Madrid, which reinvents traditional Mexican cuisine to offer an integral experience based on the evolution of Mexican cocktails and cuisine.
