If anything characterizes the summer life of Madrid are the terraces. The ‘terraceo’ is something intrinsic in the capital and the offer is very wide and for all tastes. Whether you like heights and 360º views, or hidden gardens, enjoy a meal in one of the busiest streets or get away from the center to have a more intimate evening, in Madrid you will find that outdoor place you need. So take note, because we have prepared a route through different terraces of the capital for you to eat and drink luxury and enjoy the best summer atmosphere.

Picos Pardos en Bless Hotel

Picos Pardos Sky Lounge has all the ingredients for lovers of terraces, good food and good drink. In addition to incredible views of Madrid, the rooftop of the Bless Hotel, in Velázquez, has a gastronomic proposal by chef Víctor Cuevas and his seasonal cuisine, light and full of nuances. This summer they have also incorporated a liquid menu prepared by Libé Unique Cócteles, with bartender Miguel Ángel Jiménez at the helm, to put luxury and hedonism within your reach through signature cocktails that will leave you speechless. Some examples are the Exotic Red, a coconut negroni in different textures; the Horchata MX, inspired by a piña colada and with rice and almond milk instead of tiger nut; or the Mango Tommy’s, a version of Tommy’s Margarita with a mango shrub and apricot liqueur. Which one are you going to try first?

Where? At the Bless Hotel, calle Velázquez 62, Madrid.

Club Financiero Génova

Reopened just two months ago by Azotea Grupo and Familia La Ancha, it has once again quickly become a hotspot for those in search of a good rooftop. Located on the 14th and 15th floors of the mythical Centro Colón, another plus is its gastronomic offer, which bears the signature of chef Nino Redruello. On the rooftop, you can also enjoy delicious signature cocktails – signed by Luca Anastasio – accompanied by a menu of snacks, all with a 360-degree panoramic view of the capital. What amounts to a luxury ‘planazo’.

If you love a terrace with greenery and a covered part, then this restaurant is ideal for you. Conditioned for both summer and winter, here you can taste the delights of chef Hugo Ruiz in a quiet atmosphere, but in the heart of the city. They serve a “cuisine between seas”, so you just have to sit down and enjoy a top experience based on Gadira bluefin tuna bull tartar, Coca de quisquillas de Motril, sea bass or Morrillo of bluefin tuna, port, truffle and parsnip, among other elaborations. Who can ask for more?

Where? At María de Molina Street, 4, 28006 Madrid, Spain.

La terraza del Mayorazgo

If you are looking for a space with all the essence of Madrid, the terrace of the Mayorazgo Hotel will be your stop. This urban oasis overlooking the Gran Vía offers the perfect combination of good atmosphere, gastronomy and heights. In addition, on July 14 and 15 this rooftop will be free access for you to enjoy, mojito in hand, the spectacular Madrid sunsets.

Where? At Flor Baja 3 Street, Madrid

UMusic Hotel

We do not move away from the center to go to the UMusic Hotel, very close to Puerta del Sol, where you can enjoy a refreshing plan on its terrace ‘Nota Alta’, more specifically in its pool located on the fourth floor. They have taken out a ‘Splash Pass’ with which, in addition to having access to a good dip, also includes cocktails and their gastro proposal based on suhsi. On the rooftop they serve a striking fusion of Japanese snacks and Spanish tapas, with their traditional sushi at the head, which combine the flavors of the East and the most traditional Madrid. The perfect combination for a summer day.

Where? At Calle de la Paz 11, Madrid

La Terraza de Santo Domingo

The rooftop terrace of the Hotel Santo Domingo has become an ideal place to visit at any time of the day. Located on the seventh floor, you can dine with wonderful views of the capital. In addition, this year they have released a new space, the Balcony to Palace, with a spectacular viewpoint with the same privileged views. The terrace is located on the glass roof of the pool and also offers views of the vertical garden.

Where? 1 San Bernardo Street, Madrid

Sep7ima Only You Atocha

We move to enjoy incredible views of the south of the city. On the seventh floor of the Hotel Only You Atocha we have another plan that combines good food, fun and all the essence of ‘terraceo’ that we like. Sep7tima‘s menu is based on the seven deadly sins, so you know that here you will have fun in every way. A menu full of greed, like the spaghetti nero, Thai ink sauce, carabinero and pistachio; with a lot of lust, through the roasted monkfish, olive and warm marinade; or some envy, with its roasted artichoke with hot parsnip foam and vanilla with scallop and shrimp oil. Be that as it may, make a note of this rooftop terrace in your agenda to come and visit it during the summer.

Where? At Paseo Infanta Isabel 13, Madrid

El Rincón de Vespok

We move again around the city to one of the most iconic residential areas of Madrid, Puerta del Hierro. Here, in an old renovated chapel, is located the restaurant El Rincón de Vespok, which has become an oasis for those looking for traditional Spanish cuisine with an exceptional product. In addition, right now its terrace is the real protagonist. Full of greenery and tranquility, it becomes an ideal meeting point to enjoy with friends around a table, while you try classic delicacies such as salad, croquettes, steak tartar, its new steak or its spectacular cheesecake. Make a note of this new corner to surprise whoever you want.

Where? At 16 Isla de Oza Street, Madrid.

Taberna del Puerto

If you stroll through the Salamanca neighborhood, one of your stops should be at Taberna del Puerto. Here the flavors of the sea are tasted in all its splendor in dishes such as grilled squid or its famous sea bass in salt. With a great seafaring atmosphere, its cozy terrace will make you travel to the coast without leaving Madrid. This restaurant belongs to the Oter Group, which has a lot of culinary proposals around the capital, such as El Barril, Asador Gerardo, El Telégrafo or La Leñera, among others.

Where? At Calle Diego de León 58, Madrid

Robuchon

You can also enjoy Robuchon’s exclusive gastronomic concept in the heart of Paseo de la Castellana. With a terrace located on the boulevard -it is the only one in that stretch-, you will have the opportunity to taste delicacies with all the essence of Joël Robuchon, thanks also to its bar area with tapas dishes. The restaurant is completed with the more gourmet proposal of L’atelier de Robuchon. Here chef Jorge González is in charge and you have at your disposal a tasting menu with great classics of the group, but also new creations of the Basque chef. At Robuchon Madrid, you will also have the opportunity to try some of the creations prepared in his own workshop. And if things get longer, do not hesitate to visit Le Speakeasy, on the first floor of the restaurant, inspired by the cocktail bars of the 20s and a liquid menu by Mario Villalón. Is there a more complete gastro plan than the one offered by Robuchon?

Where? At Paseo de la Castellana 12, Madrid.
