Find the perfect sauce for your pasta

We all know how to cook good pasta and some of us even know how to make wonderful sauces to go with it. However, a lot of the time cooking pasta can become a bit monotonous if you don’t innovate a bit.

Here we present 5 simple recipes that will take you very little time and will give your cooking a new dimension. We like tomato-based sauces for pasta a lot, so today we have decided to show you how to compliment these sauces with different ingredients to renovate your recipes. There is also a plus side to this, if you are a vegetarian you are in luck, none of these have meat in them.

Tomato, onion and spinach sauce:

Ingredients: fresh tomato, 1 onion and baby spinach leaves.

Preparation: dice the tomato and chop the onion very fine. Sauté in a frying pan the tomato and onion until they both become soft. Add the spinach leaves to the mix and maintain on the stove for another minute. When you put this on your pasta, finish off your dish with a bit of Parmesan cheese.

Cream-tomato sauce:

Ingredients: tomato puree, 250g of heavy cream and 1 onion.

Preparation: dice the onion and sauté in a pan and then add the tomato. Once the mix has been simmering and has reduced, add the liquid cream and let it cook for 4-5 minutes. If it lacks thickness add a bit of butter. If you want to give it a bit of a twist add some basil or oregano.

Fresh tomato, courgette and aubergine sauce:

Ingredients: 2 fresh tomatoes, 1 courgette and 1 aubergine.

Preparation: dice all the vegetables. Sauté first with a bit of olive oil the courgette and the aubergine until they become soft. Add later the tomato until it is soft too. Once you add it to the pasta don’t forget a bit of olive oil.

Tomato, mozzarella and basil sauce:

Ingredients: tomato puree, 1 onion, olive oil, basil and mozzarella.

Preparation: sauté the diced onion without letting it get brown. Add the tomato puree and if wanted some fresh diced tomato. Add a splash of olive oil. Once the mix has been cooking on low heat for approximately 10 minutes, remove from heat and add diced mozzarella and chopped basil.

Dried tomato and goat cheese sauce:

Ingredients: dried tomato, goat cheese, basil and olive oil.

Preparation: rehydrate the dried tomato with a bit of olive oil and water. Dice the goat cheese and mix with the tomatoes. Add chopped basil and a bit of olive oil once the mix is on the pasta.
