On 18 June at the Letoh Letoh hotel in Madrid, a real ‘cockfight’ took place between the kitchens of Yum House and Mawey Taco Bar. The Asian restaurant and the Mexican restaurant ‘faced off’ in a four-course menu to offer a fusion proposal on this very special date.

The menu created especially for the occasion cost €45 per person and consisted of 7 courses that combined the best of Mexican and Japanese food. Among the delicacies on offer were Japanese guacamole, taco gobernador, Yum Roll, roast beef tacos, prawn bun and suckling pig tacos. In addition, the event began with a passion fruit margarita cocktail and culminated with an exquisite matcha coulant cake dessert.

A magical dinner in which Mawey’s revised Mexican cuisine was fused to perfection with the most emblematic Asian dishes of Yum House. To round off this great party, there was a DJ and live music to end the evening on a high note.

Yum House is the latest opening of the La Pagoda Group, which already has the Manolita Chen and La Pagoda restaurants. Mawey Taco Bar is one of the leading Mexican restaurants in the capital – it already has three locations in Madrid – which offers a new concept of Mexican cuisine, fusing authentic Aztec ingredients with the best Spanish products.
