The long-awaited movie Spider-Man: Crossing the Multiverse arrives in our theaters on June 2, and Burger King has already been caught up in the succulent webs of Marvel’s arachnid superhero, paying tribute to him with a very special burger.

Yesterday, the worldwide announcement of the Spider-Verse Whopper arrived through the social networks of the fast food chain, which whetted the appetite of its fans with this post (it already has more than 3,500 likes and hundreds of comments). “My dream just came true,” wrote one of his followers in the publication. Some even baptized her with a fun new name: the “Spider King”.

Flavors of this universe

“A taste like this, it can only be from this universe,” writes Burger King on its Spanish website, where Spider-Verse menus can be found until June 19. The star is a red bread Whopper with sesame seeds, which they describe as follows: “The height of New York has arrived at Burger King with the new Spider-Verse Menu. A skyscraper composed of three meats accompanied by Swiss cheese, tomato, crispy onion and barbecue sauce, topped with a very Spidey bread. The skyscraper that Spiderman wouldn’t hesitate to land on”.

Inspired by the suit worn by Miles Morales in the movie, it also has a vegetable version, and another delicious option for lovers of crispy chicken: the Spider-Verse Chicken. “Spiderman has arrived at Burger King and, unsurprisingly, it has arrived in reverse. Two pieces of Crispy Chicken accompanied by cheese, tomato, crispy onion and barbecue sauce, topped with a very Spidey bread. All the essence of Spiderman in a burger,” they explain.

Pat O’Toole, Chief Marketing Officer for Burger King in North America, has highlighted the versatility of this original proposal: “Like the infinite number of universes that can be explored in the next installment of the successful Spider-Man franchise, Burger King fans will discover new and exciting ways to customize Spider-Verse menus”.

In addition, some of the chain’s restaurants have changed their look to pay tribute to Spider-Man by adapting to the aesthetics of Spider-Man: Crossing the Multiverse, such as this one in Astoria (Queens, New York). Other Burger Kings in the United States, France, the United Arab Emirates and Brazil will soon follow in their footsteps…. Will Spain also join this ‘arachnid invasion’? For the time being, we will have to make do with tasting their Spider-Verse menus (which is no small feat).
