After transforming its sauce jars into limited-edition luxury handbags, the Italian brand is now introducing a velvet tracksuit that could soon replace Juicy Couture’s iconic tracksuit.

Rao’s, as an institution of New York Italian haute cuisine, is best known for its line of jarred pasta sauces, which it launched in 1992. A gastronomic icon that has evolved over the years, introducing countless products, and culminating in other forms of expression such as fashion.

Now, it is exploring the art of tailoring once again, in the dosmilera aesthetic, to present a velvet tracksuit in which wearers can express their love for their sauces, and embrace Y2K nostalgia at the same time.

The new seasonal uniform, which connects chromatically with Christmas, with rhinestone detailing on the reverse, will be available from 1 December for $150 on raos.com.
