José Andrés’ recipe for the most refreshing popsicles this summer

José Andrés has the perfect remedy to combat the heat. And it is something as simple as the typical Latin American popsicles. We know them directly as popsicles and they are ice creams made with fruit. The Asturian chef thinks fruit is sexy, especially for its sour and sweet taste. So in his blog José Andrés has shared two popsicles recipe that have that refreshing touch needed for the summer heat, and on top of that they are healthy because they are made with natural fruit. Take note!

Mango, chili and lime popsicles recipe of José Andrés

Ingredients:

  • Mango puree
  • Fresh lime juice
  • Chile de árbol powder
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • Pinch of salt

Preparation:

  • Mix all ingredients in a small pitcher and stir well.
  • Take the popsicle molds and carefully fill them. Place in the freezer, ideally overnight. And enjoy this refreshing and very tart popsicle.

Key Lime paleta recipe

Ingredients:

  • Lime juice
  • Condensed milk
  • Lime
  • Salt

Preparation:

  • In a bowl, pour half and half of the condensed milk and the lime juice and a touch of salt. Mix well.
  • Pour the contents into the molds and place in the freezer for about 8 hours.
  • You can enjoy them just like this, or add some toppings such as nuts or crackers to give them even more flavor and a crunchy touch.
