Heinz blends two basic ingredients that we might find at fast food buffets, such as hot dogs or hamburgers, into one condiment: ‘Pickle Ketchup‘, as an innovative fusion of flavours and textures that combine the sweetness of ketchup and the acidity of pickles.

The press release states that 73% of Americans say they like the taste of pickles, and Pickle Ketchup has arrived to satisfy that nuanced taste experience. Katie Peterson, Director of HEINZ Innovation at The Kraft Heinz Company, adds: ‘The increased desire for tasty and unexpected condiments has been our North Star in innovation for the past few years.

The current pickle craze in the US reflects the irrational love HEINZ fans have for the brand, so it made sense for our new ketchup to combine these two much-loved flavours,’ added Peterson.

Heinz Pickle Ketchup can already be found on the shelves of selected UK shops, expanding to the US and other markets between the end of this year and early 2024.
