Gwyneth Paltrow’s take on the potato omelette

Now, Gwyneth reconnects with the national gastronomy by preparing one of her most emblematic dishes: a potato omelette.

Paltrow shared the recipe on Instagram through a video-tutorial that she herself baptised as ‘tortilla española en la manera de @juliaruizblanco (mi mamá española) pero con chorizo’, alluding to the ‘mum’ who adopted her during an exchange programme in Talavera de la Reina.

The country-style Spanish omelette, which she says is also ‘her boyfriend’s breakfast’, is then presented as a culinary tribute to Julia Ruiz, which, as we can see, she develops with great expertise. The actress then projects the entire culinary process in the clip: poaching the onion, adding some finely chopped potatoes, checking that they are cooked with a toothpick?
