The first and most likely thing you will do once you begin to have to cook for yourself is probably a fried egg. What is easier than that, right?

We’ll show you a few recipes that will take you one step further into the exciting world of cookery, using, of course, the egg as the main ingredient. Many well-known dishes include egg, but it is generally used as a minor ingredient. Now we want to give egg the prominence it deserves.

Here are a few unusual and quick recipes with egg as the main ingredient:

  • Baked Eggs Napoleon

Ingredients: toasted bread, eggs, onion, green pepper, garlic, olive oil, butter and mozzarella.

Preparation:

Cook the onion and the green pepper with butter for 5 minutes on low heat. Later add the garlic to the pan.

Put the onion, pepper and garlic in a clay pot with olive oil together with the bread and the mozzarella.

Finally crack the egg and drop it into the mix. Heat in the oven for 5 minutes at 180 °

  • Avocado Baked Eggs

Ingredients: avocados, bacon, ground pepper and eggs.

Preparation:

Cut the avocado in half and remove the seed. In its place insert the egg that has previously been cracked.

Add the ground pepper and put all the ingredients together in the oven, taking care that the egg does not spill.

Keep in the oven at 180 °C for approximately 15 minutes.

  • Galician style Eggs

Ingredients: eggs, paprika, chives, oil and vinegar.

Preparation:

Boil the eggs with salt and vinegar.

Once they are ready, peel them and cut them into slices.

Finally add olive oil, paprika and chives. This is similar to when you prepare Galician style octopus.
