This is the diet Chris Hemsworth follows when preparing for a role

The actor's private chef reveals Hemsworth's diet prior to playing one of his blockbuster roles.

Spanish chef Sergio Perera, who has been working for the actor for more than a decade, reveals to news.com.aum that the Thor star ‘adjusts his meals depending on whether he needs to gain or lose weight for a role, and that one of his favourite foods includes ‘good quality beef’.

Obviously, the guy’s a big guy,’ Perera said, noting that Hemsworth ‘requires a lot of protein for the body he has’, as well as that when it comes to gaining muscle he bases his diet on a lot of barbecue, such as meats and vegetables rubbed in olive oil.

When drawing up his meal plan, the chef, who has worked for some cult restaurants such as Aarzak or Mugaritz, does not include anything ‘boxed or canned’.

In the same conversation, Perera also spoke of a meal he always made for the star: ‘One thing I used to do religiously with him was to eat a very big and abundant salad every day, made up of raw and cooked vegetables, fermented products, nuts, seeds and lots of good fats with a piece of steak or a big piece of fish’.
