Madrid is one of the main gastronomic capitals in the world. The Spanish capital offers endless options, restaurants and foodie proposals for all tastes.

One of those places of gastronomic reference is in the Plaza de Canalejas, formerly known as Cuatro Calles, which is located in the Centro district of Madrid, between the Carrera de San Jerónimo and the streets of La Cruz, Sevilla and Príncipe. Hotels and restaurants have opened in this area where diners can enjoy Spanish gastronomy of the highest quality.

In this scenario, this Monday, March 20, the JW Marriott will open its doors, with 5 stars and carrying the flag of maximum luxury of the hotel giant Marriott. The inauguration of the hotel brings the new gastronomic space led by the Sandoval brothers, Mario, Juan Diego and Rafael, owners of Coque, (with 2 Michelin stars, and 3 Repsol Suns), and Coquetto Bar.

However, the Sandoval brothers will not only be in charge of ‘Qú by Mario Sandoval’, the new restaurant that will offer traditional dishes prepared with local products with a gourmet touch, but also of the entire restaurant service of the establishment, such as room service, open 24 hours a day.

One of chef Mario Sandoval’s main goals with this gastronomic venture is to serve one of the best breakfasts in Europe, as he explained to El Mundo. The breakfast will include Spanish products such as ham, pork loin, and international products such as pastrami or mortadella, and they will also prepare American-style breakfasts such as bagels, eggs with bacon, etc. All always accompanied by juices and coffee.

They will have a well cared and high quality bakery by Andrés Lesmes and the pastry chef Juanjo López where they will offer all kinds of artisan breads and pastries.

The lobby bar will also be one of the highlights of this new gastronomic venture with a very special and unique cocktail menu.

Qú will offer Mario Sandoval’s emblematic suckling pig, which will be one of the flagship dishes of this new restaurant, according to El Mundo. The grandiose and carefully selected wines will also abound in this place, where Mario Sandoval and his brothers Juan Diego and Rafael will work to embark on a new adventure that promises to become one of Madrid’s gastronomic references.
