From the creators of “Cooking a meal in 5 minutes” comes a new installment of “Cooking a pasta dish in just 1 minute”. Just as you read it. A Youtube account has published a simple trick that has gone viral so that you can cook pasta in 1 minute and not have to wait between 8 and 12 minutes, which is the standard time to boil al dente pasta. Although, yes, this trick really does have a trick, let’s face it.

As can be seen in the video, it is true that it is possible to cook the pasta in only 1 minute, throwing the pasta in boiling water and draining it after 60 seconds. But the simple process has behind it a wait of 1 hour, since they recommend first to soak the pasta during that period of time. This way it softens naturally and then only needs 1 minute of cooking time before you can taste it.

There are many other tricks to cook pasta in less time, such as the one we published a few months ago used by Nobel Prize-winning physicist Giorgio Parisi. By preparing it in less time, you also save energy, since you have the fire on for less time.

What do you think of this viral trick to cook pasta in 1 minute? Would you be willing to start the process an hour earlier?
