The Barbie world is causing fervor on the internet: from the barbiecore trend in fashion, to Greta Gerwig’s new “Barbie” movie in theaters, which will be released in a few months. We all seem to be eager to delve into her plastic life.

“From the beach décor to the menu, every detail has been carefully designed to celebrate Barbie’s iconic style,” said Julie Freeland, senior director of Location Based Entertainment at Mattel, about the new space, which will be installed ephemerally in pop-up form.

This frenzy for intense pink envelops this tropical and beach restaurant, which will serve a brunch menu throughout the day, as well as all kinds of cocktails and desserts. Within the menu, we can find the gastronomic creations of MasterChef semifinalist Becky Brown, among dishes such as “Pacific Paradise” pancakes, “West Coast Wave Wedge” salads, “California Dreamin’ Club” sandwiches or “Anything is Possible” Sundaes. Because here everything is possible.

BARBIE WORLD

The Barbie fandom will be able to enter this immersive café that pays tribute to the imaginary, the aesthetics and everything that the iconic doll represents. And beyond the exotic menu, inside this 1970s Malibu time capsule, visitors and/or diners will be able to have their photos taken in a life-size Barbie box, as well as enjoy the vibrant playground.

This is a project entirely dressed in the Barbie theme, designed and built by Bucket Listers, the company behind countless pop-ups such as the “Golden Girls Cafe”. An exclusive and vanity experience, which will also feature a store with exclusive products and interactive elements that will open the doors to the Barbie universe on May 17 in New York and June 7 in Chicago. Tickets will range from $35 for children to $50 for adults.
