The little pink spherical creature comes out of the game to sneak into the new Heinz Japan ketchup bottles. The sauce with which to accompany gamers’ food also comes with exclusive charms with the prospect of becoming collector’s items. However, the only way to get them is by participating in a special contest in networks of which there will only be 1,000 winners.

After a successful creative union in 2024 in which Kirby appeared in ketchup bags, Heinz Japan and HAL Laboratory have now decided to take the collaboration to a new dimension under the concept of “Maxim Tomato”, the Kirby object that restores health in video games.

The kawaii aesthetic collection features three Kirby designs. One features the mascot happily seated holding a burger, while in another he is surrounded by tomatoes illustrated on 420 ml ketchup bottles. Another even includes Waddle-Dee in the illustration, showing the orange-red creature holding a tomato next to Kirby.

These limited edition bottles, priced at 383 yen (about $2.65), will be distributed to supermarkets and stores in Japan throughout June 2025.
