Today, November 6, is a big day for Starbucks fans, because the “Bearista” glass cup has officially launched, and it’s already selling for more than triple the price on eBay. The launch is part of the chain’s Christmas menu, although it seems that none of the other products have caused as much of a stir as the barista bear.
The ‘Starbucks Bearista Cold Cup’ sells for $29.95 and is shaped like a teddy bear wearing a green Starbucks wool hat that serves as a lid. The cup also comes with a matching straw that adds an extra touch of style and fun.
The chain sparked a frenzy with a video featuring the glass cup on November 5, showing its 17.6 million followers a barista serving coffee in the adorable bear-shaped cup, with the caption “I’ll have what he’s having,” in reference to the movie “When Harry Met Sally…”.
Fans were quick to react to the new product, saying it wasn’t a whim, but a real necessity, while another user added, “If they sell out before I can buy one, I’ll be heartbroken 😢.”
