From Tapas we have compiled the best plans with which to make the most of the weekend in Madrid, and to indulge in hedonism between cultural and gastronomic experiences, festivals, events and museums. Grab your diary and take note of our weekly proposal.

FRIDAY 16TH

We will start the weekend of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid, of course, living the national fashion: a fashion show that we will start in the pop-up of emerging designers, which returns with a new edition to Espacio GF21.

Some of the most outstanding national talents will meet again in this space creatively directed by @gfveintiuno that will feature brands such as DIF, GEORGIELA, NÉMESIS, PEINADO STUDIO, SNACH, EMEERREE, CRACK STUDIO or GEORGIA FOLLENTE. Where? At C. Manuela Malasaña, 21.

As night falls, we’ll head to Barcelona’s most vibrant urban party, which lands for the first time in Madrid. La Cangri, hosted and devised by Bea Pelea, will activate its session in the mythical Sala Sol with an effervescent line up that will feature a live set by Bea Pelea, the beats of Pepo Bitz or the aggressive techno rituals of Soffmm. Get your pass here.

SATURDAY 17TH

On Saturday morning, we will be artistically stimulated at La Causa Galería, which houses on its walls a new compilation of works structured around the group exhibition ‘YOUR SKIN OF UNTOUCHED ROCK‘ featuring Polina Pak, Javier Ruiz, Kyung Park, Guillermo López and Naomi Boiko.

It explores human skin on a physical and symbolic level, as an echo of lived experience, and of our inner state. Skin conveys inner thoughts and emotions long before words try to describe them’, say the notes of this exhibition, which will be installed in the contemporary space until Saturday 17 February.

From this cultural plan we will move on to another gastronomic one in the emerging trendy neo-tavern: Ultramarines del Coso. A space located in the heart of Malasaña that offers a subversive twist to the culinary scene through its elevated aesthetic inspired by traditional ultramarines and its vision of contemporary Scandinavian cuisine.

Swedish chef Andy Boman serves both at his central bar and at his tables traditional interpretations such as smoked gildas, funky tripe or smoked bacon, along with dishes inspired by his travels around the world, such as crispy Thai ear ssam with nam prink, to combine with a delicious vermouth at any time of the day.

Saturday night’s party will be at the CADAVRA house, which will feature the eclectic MARGIE, who will supply the ravers with her choppy beats and mixes of influences from hip hop and other musical genres, along with other artists such as SLVJ in her return to the scene: the producer, DJ and artist from Madrid who fuses field recordings with vocals and electronic beats.

SUNDAY 18TH

On Sunday, we will eat at an institution of Italian haute cuisine: NOI. There we will taste the new creation on offer, prepared by chef Gianni Pinto, Garofalo‘s ambassador since 2016.

It is an exclusive cut of Spaghettone XXL with creamy prawns, nduja and basil pesto that has already captivated all the diners who have had the opportunity to experience the greatness of Italian gastronomy.

We will close the weekend in style, just as we started it: experiencing the emerging fashion that the capital is displaying, this time, inside IFEMA. A venue that will once again be transformed and converted into an improvised catwalk to host a new edition of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Talent award: a gala that supports the talent, innovation and creativity of emerging creators.

The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Talent 2024 will feature the participation of nine national firms that will present their collections during the last day of MBFWM: Coconutscankill, Dimoni, Juan VG, Oriol Clavell, Evade House, Anystudio, Adrià Egea, Visori Studio and Peter Sposito Studio.
