Sam Adams Utopias is described as one of the brand’s ‘most creative’ beers according to the notes of this US brewery founded in 1984, which has been mesmerising thrill-seekers with its 28% alcohol by volume craft beer for all these years.

This beer, which blurs the line between brew and spirit, is aged in a blend of whiskey barrels, cognac and scotch casks, serving up a complex flavour profile marked by notes of dark fruit, maple syrup and baking spices.

However, due to its high alcohol content, it is illegal in several US states, such as Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Idaho, Missouri, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Utah, Vermont and West Virginia.

Utopias is also characterised by the exclusivity that surrounds it, maintaining the expectation of its followers with sporadic releases every two years. If you’re looking to get your hands on one of them, Samuel Adams Utopias 2023 is now available at specialty beer and liquor shops for $240 for a 24.5-ounce bottle.
