Although elegance is often associated with a sophisticated way of dressing, more and more other factors are being added to the equation. With this premise and avoiding superficiality, Forbes magazine has presented its annual list of the 50 most elegant business people in Spain. It has included entrepreneurs, indefatigable executives, national gurus and specialised opinion leaders, both digital and offline. Among them is chef Quique Dacosta, but there are also other names related to the gastro world. Here, we reveal who they are.

Quique Dacosta

Seven Michelin-starred chef

The chef shines on the gastronomic scene with seven Michelin stars and his place in The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2022. In 2020 he received the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts. Dacosta puts his gourmet touch and beauty to a bag of chips as well as to the most exclusive menu.

Vicente Dalmau Cebrián-Sagarriga

President of Bodegas Marqués de Murrieta

He owns Marqués de Murrieta, the best winery in Spain and -recently- the best in the world according to the World Network of Great Wine Capitals (winning the Best of 2023 award). The recognition highlights the good direction in which he is steering his business, balancing tradition and innovation. He took the reins of the vineyards at the age of 25, which has forged his innate talent and personality, considered by some to be ‘spirited’. His style of dress emphasises his aristocratic bearing and emphasises his proportions; a shirt with a prominent collar and, almost always, a double-breasted blazer. In 2021 he had a turnover of more than 18 million euros. This is a reflection of the quality of the wine, such as Castillo Ygay Reserva 2010 and other winning wines.

Sandro Silva

Chef and co-founder of Grupo Paraguas

His affable image in a white jacket is always accompanied by his big smile. Outside the kitchens she can be seen in a casual and comfortable style, but he doesn’t shy away from accessorising or lending himself to a photo shoot, such as the Brazilian edition of GQ. The Brazilian chef has eight restaurants in Madrid and two branches in London and Dubai. This year he is looking for Doha, Riyadh and Las Vegas. The gastronomic entrepreneur started this project under the fine dining concept in 2004 with Marta Seco. However, the bustling growth was affected by the crisis of the covid crisis with a 60% drop in turnover that year. Despite this hiatus, each of its openings attracts diners who don’t mind that it’s not in the city. that it is not in the Michelin guide. Silva started in the kitchens of Trascorrales and his stamp is marked by tradition and charisma.

Telmo Rodríguez

Winemaker at Remelluri and creator of Telmo Rodríguez Wines

He is an archaeologist of viticulture due to his strong commitment to the recovery of old vineyards in La Rioja. His work focuses on the vindication of the notes of grapes, such as the Spanish Garnacha, and rediscovering ancestral growing areas.
