The famous soft drink brand has surprised by creating its first sauce, Colachup, a combination of ketchup and cola. It is part of the #MejorConPepsi campaign to promote the perfect pairing that makes a Pepsi with hot dogs. To launch this curious product, the company has had the collaboration of the Culinary Institute of America and the legendary Joey Chestnut, considered the best hot dog eater of all time.

Pepsi has chosen a key date for people to try this original condiment proposal. It will be from July 4 (a very important date in the USA), a day on which, according to the National Hot Dog & Sausage Council, more than 150 million hot dogs are consumed in the United States alone.

Where can Colachup be tested?

Pepsi Colachup is the world’s first sauce infused with Pepsi. Its main objective is to take the enjoyment of hot dogs to the next level by adding Pepsi-Cola’s iconic sweet and citrus flavor directly to the hot dog.

For now, those who want to try Colachup will be able to do so on July 4 at select baseball stadiums across the country: Detroit Tigers, Minnesota Twins, Arizona Diamondbacks and New York Yankees. Fans who go to these stadiums and order a hot dog will receive exclusive Colachup samples.

We will be watching the reception of this new sauce to see if Pepsi is encouraged to officially launch it for sale.
