The DJ, designer and cultural figure has launched an exclusive edition of Don Julio 1942, the Mexican brand’s first universal creative collaboration. With the goal of expanding its presence beyond the world of tequila, Don Julio has partnered with Peggy Gou to create a collector’s bottle.

For the design, Peggy has taken the classic Don Julio 1942 bottle as a base reference, which she has reinvented through modern and avant-garde designs. In silhouette, the artist’s distinctive branding merges with the Don Julio iconography, combining electrifying shades of mint green and purple. The holographic 1942 label and a chrome cap close the design of the luxury iteration.

Flavor-wise, Don Julio 194구 goes for nuances of caramel, oak and lingering sweetness, while maintaining the ultra-smooth essential that characterizes the original Don Julio 1942. The collaboration is visually accompanied by a futuristic short film directed by filmmaker Nabil Elderkin.

“I wanted to design a bottle that would stop time just by looking at it. This collaboration offers fans a taste of a superior tequila and a taste of my own personal aesthetic, all in a stunning package that I was fortunate to design,” says the Korean DJ.

The limited edition bottle is now available at select retailers in countries such as the U.S., U.K., Italy, Spain, South Korea, Japan and Mexico.
