London-based footwear brand notwoways continues to serve up aesthetics and functionality in a new sneaker with which they return to the roots of their production: the Model 1.

Based on the costume inspiration, and the stimulation that founders Callum McGinley and Rockwell Princely feel for the streets of London, they now materialise these Model 1 ‘Mokka’.

McGinley’s Model 1 ‘Syzygy’ thus evolves, undergoing a big coffee spill that gives rise to this iteration drenched in coffee-like tones: one that runs the length of the silhouette, and even the packaging that surrounds it. That is, it is presented in themed boxes with brown liquid stains and a personalised metallic latte art stencil.

In terms of the ingredients that make up the shoe, we can also see the influence of the drink. The inside of the shoe is bathed in shades of brown, black and cream, while the suede mudguards are decorated with an energetic brew.

Finally, additional laces and two-tone hang tags complete the design stacked on wavy midsoles and textured rubber bottoms, resulting in the notwoways Model 1 “Mokka” which will go on sale in their webshop on 23 November.
