It has been two years since Marcos Granda opened Nintai in Marbella and it has already established itself as one of the must-visit restaurants in the city. The sommelier was inspired by a personal trip to Japan and was able to transfer that experience to the concept of the restaurant, turning it into an authentic temple of Japanese haute cuisine on the Costa del Sol.

Here, cooking is practised as an art and perfection is sought in each piece, with attention to detail. In fact, it offers an exclusive service for only 12 diners, which is one of the keys to its success. At the Nintai restaurant, the itamae (or master) is the artist who puts on a show with every dish.

This Omakase restaurant offers two menus for lunch and a single option for dinner. The Omakase lunch menu (145 euros) and the Grand Nintai menu (175 euros).

From Marbella to Japan through the palate

In addition to the unpredictable sushi creations, new on the menu are other Japanese dishes such as Galician clam chawanmushi with Maresme tear pea; smoked Galician squid noodles marinated in shiso soy with Hijiki salad, sesame and wasabi; or the tasty black cod in sweet miso sauce, considered a delicious delicacy in Japan.

The wine pairing is personalised for each diner, depending on their tastes and the culinary proposal of the moment (not included in the price of the menu). It has an extensive wine cellar with more than 500 references from around the world, highlighting the more than 100 champagnes or the surprising menu of sakes, with about 90, being the largest in number and quality in Spain. If this spring you want to live a unique gastronomic experience and move from Marbella to Japan through the palate, you must visit Nintai.
