New generations who grew up watching SpongeBob have probably fantasised about living in Bikini Bottom, or even tasting a Krusty Krab crab made with his magical and coveted secret formula.

Nickelodeon has now wanted to make that dream come true, reinterpreting the fictional restaurant in real life, specifically in the town of Sao Paulo, Brazil. One that will also have a gastronomic space dedicated to haute cuisine.

The SpongeBob SquarePants themed restaurant, inspired by SpongeBob’s underwater universe, will immerse diners in the culinary wonders that unfold in the animation from next April; with the help of the company Fan&Food.

The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that ‘SpongeBob – Burger & Restaurant‘ will be spread across 1,000 square metres, and will be able to accommodate up to 254 visitors at a time.

According to the partners, the first floor will feature a 144-seat burger bar with a fully immersive Bikini Bottom design. On the first floor, the Flying Dutchman’s Lounge will have 40 seats where ‘fans will be able to enjoy a unique moment inside the Flying Dutchman’s Ghost Ship’.

Meanwhile, the SpongeBob SquarePants House, described as ‘the world’s first and only B.E.-themed luxury restaurant‘, will be located on the first floor. There diners will be able to enjoy an exclusive menu designed by renowned chef Heaven Delhaye.

Finally, inside the venue there will also be a merchandising shop and two children’s spaces, one of which is Casa da Sandy, where children can immerse themselves in the elusive imaginary of Sandy Cheeks.
