When most people try to adopt healthy eating and exercise routines, chances are their diet doesn’t include large amounts of fast food. Unless you’re the CEO of Meta.

Mark Zuckerberg, it seems, is currently preparing to battle another of the tech titans, Elon Musk, in a cage match. And not only that, but he is also following a diet that has generated controversy on the social networks that he himself manages: he eats about 4,000 calories a day to accompany his jiu-jitsu and MMA workouts. A diet in which large doses of McDonald’s are served.

This is what he expressed in Threads, his most recent platform, in which he shared a long list of his favorite products with which he makes up an exaggerated menu of the fast food restaurant. Zuckerberg revealed this in a McDonald’s post in which the fast food chain asked: ‘Do you want something from McDonald’s?’ To which he replied: ’20 nuggets, a quarter pounder, large fries, Oreo McFlurry, apple pie, and maybe some cheeseburgers for later.’

Many of his followers were quite concerned to see the CEO trying to hit his 4,000 calorie goal with burgers and fries, while UFC fighter (and friend of Zuck’s) Mike Davis posted: ‘You’re in camp! No McDonald’s.’

Zuckerberg’s response to that maelstrom of reactions? ‘I’m not slimming down, so I need about 4,000 calories a day to make up for all the activity. And it’s so delicious…’.
