‘We have to announce something that is very difficult for us and we honestly didn’t know how to do it as we are all very sad…’, read the emotional notes on Instagram from the iconic bar that has been forced to close for good.

We have made this difficult decision in light of the increasingly difficult complexities of the impossible dynamics for small businesses to maintain. It has not been an easy decision to make. That is why we want to celebrate our farewell in a big way and we would like to invite you this Saturday from 16:00 to 3:30, to come by and celebrate in style’.

This iconic cocktail bar in Malasaña, located at Calle de San Andrés 33, had become the meeting point for Madrid’s creative and artistic scene since 2017. A status it achieved both for its bohemian and modernist spirit and for its own ode to the tavern based on signature wines, beers, vermouth on tap and its extensive variety of cocktails accompanied by tapas and portions such as gourmet preserves and charcuterie boards.

We would like to take this farewell to say a big thank you for all the warmth we have received. Thanks to all the team and to all those special people who have left their mark on this magical place. We are sure that Warsaw will remain in the memories of many people with an incredible love. Thank you for everything. The Warsaw team, we will miss you a lot. ❤️’, says the team behind Varsovia, which will be celebrating its farewell in style this week.
