For many, the main attraction of a restaurant is its cuisine, the cocktails they offer or its delicate decoration. It can also be their shows… and on some occasions, the paranormal apparitions that scare away most, can be the most striking for others. In case you feel like meeting a ghost or if you want to avoid setting foot in these places, it is recommended that you take a look at this list .

Earnestine & Hazel’s

This venue in the American town of Memphis has hosted all kinds of activities. There has been a brothel, a cafe, a concert hall,… History tells that at least 13 people have died within its walls, who are now the ghosts that roam freely through the premises. The workers say they hear footsteps, a ghost playing the piano, and even the jukebox playing by itself. But it is not only known for that, but for serving one of the best burgers in all of Tennessee.

Bar Perro Viejo (the former Viandas restaurant)

This bar in Seville remains one of the most haunted in the city. Formerly known as Viandas restaurant, it has a whole series of paranormal stories such as the feeling that someone is chasing you, some cell phones stop working or things move on their own. Especially disturbing is the last floor, where workers say they see shadows running, feel very cold and smell strange. The place is built on an old crypt that would explain these strange apparitions. There you can enjoy the famous and delicious Sevillian tapas.

Muriel’s

In New Orleans, United States, there is another restaurant with a ghost story behind it. This is Muriel’s restaurant. There, you can enjoy traditional Creole food and jazz music , but you can also meet a ghost, specifically, the ghost of the former owner of the establishment, as the stories tell. There they say that Pierre Lepardi Jourdan took his life after losing his home in a bet.

The Golden Fleece

This place offers typical drinks and food from York, United Kingdom, as well as rooms for tourists to stay. It claims to be the most haunted in the city. There they claim that the ghost of Lady Alice Peckitt, the wife of the mayor of York who lived in a nearby house, appears; the spirit of a Canadian aviator who fell from one of the hotel windows. There is also talk of the ghost of One-Eyed Jack, a man in a red coat who sits with a gun in the store.

L’Auberge Saint-Gabriel

This restaurant in Montreal, Canada, is one of the oldest in the country. It has more than 300 years of history and at its tables you can enjoy French-Canadian food. Of course, there they reiterate that after a girl died in a fire in the 19th century, that young woman appears in the hallways, and others claim to have heard how the piano played alone on the second floor and the cold is palpable inside, even though it’s hot outside.

The Stag

The Stag restaurant is in Forfar, Scotland. There, Scottish dishes with international inspiration are served using, according to the establishment, only high quality products. But another of the charms of the place is that it has been recorded in videos from its security cameras how some objects fell on their own. In addition, they say they have seen a ghostly figure of a former fisherman, leaning on the kitchen wall or in a corner of the premises.
