The Bubble Tea explosion: where to try it in Madrid?

The bubble tea revolution had been brewing for some time, but it was not until about a year ago when it experienced its boom, generating a whole movement around this drink. One that made proliferate the opening of countless specialty shops around the world. We tell you (in a few words) the story behind the bubble tea, and then recommend a number of places in Madrid where you can try them.

Also known as Boba Tea, this drink was born in Taiwan in the 80s, originally popularized in the country, and in some of its neighboring localities, where tapioca pearls and the different varieties of tea contained in the drink were more traditional.

But what is bubble tea really? It is a type of tea flavored with milk and fruit flavors or artificial flavors that generate a totally desirable visual effect. Although the ingredient that really generates devotion are its tapioca balls (carbohydrate balloons) or gelatin, and its gelatinous sensation. This bubble tea temple was installed in 2017 in the heart of the capital. Since then, it has become a clear reference of this artisanal drink for its great variety: 45 flavors of tea and more than 20 different toppings or bubbles. T4 is an iconic bubble tea chain with more than 20 years of history that has expanded its influence (and its locations) around the world. This one stands out from the rest by presenting a fusion concept in which delicious customizable bubble teas coexist with an assortment of different kinds of fried chicken and waffles.

COCO FRESH TEA & JUICE

This premium bubble tea brand originated in 1997 in Taiwan. Since then, it has not stopped opening locations, crossing all continents, as well as embracing tradition and innovation in the same identity.
