From a retractable tarpaulin to wooden floors, a huge grill to a dining table for 12: the outdoor kitchen of pop culture’s most iconic couple has it all and more.

Devotees of the ‘Beckham’ series and ‘Posh and Beck’s’ are probably already familiar with one of the former professional footballer’s great hobbies: cooking and gastronomy, as a passion he shares with his son and chef Brookyln, demonstrating it on countless occasions both through the media and on the blue screen.

My dad has always loved being in the kitchen,’ Brooklyn told Insider last month. ‘And when I was very young, I was lucky enough to travel with him to different places around the world and try different cuisines. I think my love of cooking and trying different cuisines definitely comes from my dad.’

As you would expect, David does all his cooking in a large indoor kitchen, but also in an outdoor one: one of his favourite spaces where he spends most weekends cooking on his huge grill. In the series, Beckham can be seen meticulously frying mushrooms there and preparing a roast dinner.

‘On Saturday mornings I entertain at this place, it’s my escape,’ he says. ‘I’m here from 11am to 9/10pm, sometimes later, just grilling! That’s all I do, I bring my iPad and watch football.’

His swanky outdoor kitchen is the work of Guy Ritchie’s company, The WildKitchen, and features an outdoor grill called The WildTable that Ritchie himself has described as a ‘whole new way of cooking, meeting and eating’.

According to the media, it burns charcoal or wood under a glass lid and channels the smoke through a chimney, forming the key element on which this £50,000 high-end kitchen is built.
