After his brilliant victory, it seems that the wrestler Ilia Topuria has already returned to his normal life and has already returned to our country to celebrate his triumph with his people. In fact, a few days ago the athlete met his friend, the singer Omar Montes, for dinner. The chosen place was a well-known restaurant in Madrid. It was El Babero, owned by María Ángeles Pérez, known as ‘Cuchy’, daughter of Florentino Pérez. Topuria was at the Bernabéu to do the kick-off in the match between Real Madrid and Sevilla.
El Babero restaurant is located in the Salamanca district and specializes in Spanish gastronomy, offering top quality raw material in a space characterized by high tables, whose motto is: “Come in, eat, drink and let yourself go…”. Among the specialties that can be tasted at El Babero, the Spanish canned food section stands out, such as cockles, sardines or mussels.
There is also room for sausages such as chorizo, smoked tongue, ham or cecina. As for spoon dishes, the restaurant serves traditional recipes such as lentils of the house.
But, undoubtedly, the strong point of the restaurant is its wide variety of Spanish tapas, both hot and cold, with Russian salad, gazpacho, croquettes, bravas, torreznos or different tortillas.
