Throughout its 10 seasons and 236 episodes stretched between 1994 and 2004, countless inspirational recipes and iconic food-related moments were screened. Already feeling like a timeless series, we can now and forever afford to collect its most memorable and funniest culinary moments. Relive them by scrolling through the following nostalgic scenes.

The fight for the cheesecake

That delicious cheesecake that was meant for one of their neighbors is mistakenly delivered to Monica and Chandler’s apartment during season seven. Rachel is ready to berate Chandler for stealing it when, like him, she succumbs to the temptation to eat it straight from the hallway floor. A duo in combat in which even Joey, the sitcom’s undoubtedly most foodie (or food obsessed) character, ends up intervening.

Thanksgiving

All Friends fans will always remember that retrospective episode of the fifth season in which the six main characters reveal their worst Thanksgivings. Sublime stories among which is Joey’s, when he remembers the moment when he put a turkey on his head in order to scare Chandler, and ended up having an effect on Phoebe and Monica. At the end of the episode, Monica will end up spoofing that same iconic sequence.

Joey’s fridge

Joey reflects at all times his gastro-mania throughout the episodes among which stands out the one titled “The one with Joey’s fridge”: one in which he ends up eating the entire contents of his fridge, after it has broken down.

El de la mermelada infinita

Before falling in love with Chandler, Monica fell in love with Tom Selleck’s Richard Burke, channeling an intense relationship that ended up dying because of the stark contrast in life perspectives. A moment that broke her heart, and from which she tried to escape by frantically making jam, obsessing over it, creating endless jars. A practice she had to give up in order to be well.

Rachel’s cake

Within one of the funniest episodes in the history of the series, there is that scene in which Rachel helped for the first time in the kitchen, and ended up presenting a disgusting cake with ingredients such as sautéed veal, peas, onions and a series of sweet condiments such as custard or jam. Still, Joey would end up eating it.

All for the meatball sandwich

That gastro moment of fiction that ended up going viral and being reproduced in real life was again starred by Joey and his meatball sandwich. An episode in which, along with Ross, Chandle and Gary, and Phoebe’s then boyfriend, they are taking a ride with the car and a car catches fire.
