The motomami is in New York as, among other things, she will be attending the Met Gala 2024 tonight. There, as she made her way to a restaurant, she was captured as usual by the paparazzi as she signed a series of autographs for her fans. The real surprise came with the unexpected act of Nadia Domínguez, known under the nickname Lady Watermelon, who specialises in creating works of art with fruit.
Nadia approached Rosalía to give her a large watermelon on which her face is carved with precision. A gastronomic portrait or tribute that she had already sculpted in the past for another pop icon. And that was Karol G, although her reaction had nothing to do with that of the Catalan, as she would ignore the gift completely. Rosi, on the other hand, only expressed words of thanks, praising her work: ‘how beautiful, how beautiful’. To which she continued: ‘Mother of mine, what art you have’.

The video in question has gone viral because of the effect the gift had on the singer and her entire community. In fact, she herself shared it in a carousel on Instagram along with other ‘star’ photos, including one with a spectacular pom-pom mini-dress and wraparound glasses. In addition, in the same sequence, another image appears with Ayo Edebiri from ‘The Bear’, with whom she shared a scene on the Jimy Fallon show.
