Grain & Barrel, a spirits company based in Charleston, South Carolina, launched the Elvis Whiskey collection in 2021. Now, this whiskey joins that collection made up of two other liquid expressions that paid tribute to two of the singer’s most popular nicknames: “The King” and “Tiger Man”.

“Midnight Snack” celebrates the flavors of “Fool’s Gold Loaf” the French bread sandwich made with creamy peanut butter, a jar of grape jelly, banana and about 450g of bacon. A snack that will be eternally connected to Elvis Presley because of his deep attachment and interest. A love story that began when, according to “The Life and Cuisine of Elvis Presley”, Presley and his friends bought 22 of these sandwiches and ate them on his private jet along with a few bottles of Perrier and champagne on the way home from Graceland.

This episode became the subject of incessant media interest, as well as part of numerous cookbooks, usually focusing on Presley’s fondness for food.

A NEW LIQUID TRIBUTE TO PRESLEY

The new whiskey inspired by the cultural icon thus distills all the flavors of his favorite sandwich in a single bottle sheathed in the artist’s identity, among references such as his signature and the letters “TCB” printed on his neck. Elvis’ mantra “Taking Care of Business” finishes the design of this 70-proof flavored whiskey that perfectly balances sweet, salty and smoky.
