Actor Chris Hemsworth has spent a few days in Madrid promoting his upcoming film, Tyler Rake 2, which premieres on Netflix this June 16. The Australian is a lover of Spain, an aspect in which his wife, Elsa Pataky, must have had a great influence. In fact, whenever they can, they escape to the capital for a few days, as the actress owns a penthouse in the Chamberí neighborhood.

Although Chris has acknowledged in several interviews that he should improve his Spanish (the note that Elsa wrote to him in pen on his hand went viral), what the actor does have under control is Spanish gastronomy. Besides being crazy about Jabugo ham and eating it every time he comes to our country, Hemsworth has also tried one of his wife’s favorite restaurants. It is the restaurant El Landó, owned by Lucio Blázquez de Casa Lucio, a place where many celebrities such as Jake Gyllenhaal, Benicio del Toro, Barbra Streisand or Liam Neeson, among other big names, have visited.

This is El Landó, in the heart of Madrid de Los Austrias

El Landó is one of the most emblematic restaurants in Madrid. Following in the footsteps of its big brother, Casa Lucio, this restaurant located in the heart of Madrid de Los Austrias, has incredible views of the Royal Palace (in fact, the actress posted a photo with Hemsworth during their romantic evening here).

This legendary Madrid steakhouse serves a traditional Spanish cuisine in which great importance is given to the product and its quality. Starting with the ham -which we are sure that both Chris and Elsa ordered with pleasure-, to move on to a classic of the Lucio’s house such as the huevos rotos a su estilo. You should also try the torreznos, tripe, steak tartar or a wide variety of meats and fish.
