Balenciaga unveils a new spicy snack it-bag

The brand directed by Demna Gvasalia once again ironises fashion by turning a bag of crisps into an accessory.

Balenciaga extends its collection of Lays snacks or chips with another bag in the form of a savoury clutch, but this time in a very spicy version, getting into the gastronomic trend of the moment.

Demna once again transforms ‘trash’ into high fashion, as a further representation of his anti-capitalist ode to consumption, of which this new ‘150g’ luxury item made of leather, sealed by a zip at the top, is now a part.

For the launch, the brand decided to wipe its entire digital archive and/or content from its Instagram feed to put the focus on this clutch framed within the SS24 collection, giving all the limelight to its new ‘spicy’ crisp bag.
