London-based brand Aries draws inspiration from the beauty, excess and romanticism of a great Roman feast to serve up a range of modern relics to the contemporary world in collaboration with KFC. The fried chicken chain thus connects with the purest streetwear to launch a capsule collection full of eye-catching graphics and artfully surreal images captured by famed photographer Douglas Irvine that evoke Renaissance opulence.

The “Gravy Drip” collection -a play on words between the term “drip” (fresh clothing) and KFC’s popular sauce- consists of 10 pieces representative of this combination, including a distressed leather jacket with a back panel featuring celestial figures with chicken thighs as treasures, and digitally printed jeans with scenes inspired by Roman banquets.
Other items in the capsule include a black T-shirt soaked in KFC’s golden sauce that reflects the philosophy of this union, as Aries founder Sofia Prantera says: “We wanted to create something beautifully executed with a subtle touch of irony.

The golden sauce drips equally well on the sweatshirts, which can be worn with delightful accessories such as a gold chicken thigh pendant necklace with gray enamel. The collection is completed by a sophisticated ceramic sauce pan with a golden spout and embossed logos, and a sticker pack that fuses Roman architecture with ironic chicken iconography.
The KFC x Aries ‘Gravy Drip’ collection is now available exclusively from ariesarise.com with prices ranging from £12 to £1,400.
