Thus was born the precursor of Nutella as we know it. The addition of hazelnuts, a cheaper and more readily available product, would make the cream much more affordable for the people.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"664\" height=\"466\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tapasmagazine.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-282687\" style=\"width:652px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tapasmagazine.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/2.jpg 664w, https:\/\/www.tapasmagazine.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/2-300x211.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.tapasmagazine.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/2-400x281.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 664px) 100vw, 664px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>The first recipe for the \u2018cr\u00e8me\u2019 dates from 1946, called \u2018<strong>Giandujot<\/strong>\u2019, presented as a sweet pastry moulded with hazelnuts and chocolate which could be cut into slices and spread on bread. It was named after a mythical character from the local carnival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 1951 this dough evolved into \u2018<strong>SQUISITA SUPERCREMA<\/strong>\u2019, refined by the son of the pastry chef Michele Ferrero, which he would transform into this new easy-to-spread creamy product that he renamed Nutella.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"560\" height=\"910\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tapasmagazine.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/3.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-282689\" style=\"width:308px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tapasmagazine.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/3.jpg 560w, https:\/\/www.tapasmagazine.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/3-185x300.jpg 185w, https:\/\/www.tapasmagazine.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/3-400x650.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 560px) 100vw, 560px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>In 1964, Nutella was born with an improved recipe of hazelnut and cocoa cream which, a year later, would be encapsulated in its representative jar with a design that would be officially launched in Germany in 1965.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tapasmagazine.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/5-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-282691\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tapasmagazine.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/5-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.tapasmagazine.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/5-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.tapasmagazine.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/5-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.tapasmagazine.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/5-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.tapasmagazine.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/5-2048x1366.jpg 2048w, https:\/\/www.tapasmagazine.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/5-1000x667.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/www.tapasmagazine.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/5-400x267.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Fifty years later, the inventor of <strong>Nutella <\/strong>would become the richest person in Italy and the 30th richest person in the world, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
