The story of love and friendship between Mexican artist Humberto Cruz<\/strong> and Manolo Bakes <\/strong>has only just begun. The specialty coffee shop and the illustrator have connected their creativity to celebrate Valentine’s Day <\/strong>with packaging illustrated by the artist behind the graphic identity of the album ‘Ma\u00f1ana ser\u00e1 bonito<\/strong>‘ by Karol G<\/strong>. The design of the boxes and coffee cups encapsulates the essence of love, friendship and the connection between people through vibration and nostalgia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With these drawings I wanted to reflect the affection, union and connection between friends, family or couple. The designs consist of romanticism, tenderness and friendship between bunnies and other elements related to Valentine’s Day. It’s a fun and colorful design’, explains @iscreamcolour<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The special Valentine’s Day<\/strong> edition is presented as the artist’s first ‘gastronomic foray’, after having ventured into other fields such as fashion or music: ‘Working with the team was a lot of fun and I’m happy with the result. I hope they like it a lot! We wanted to represent the packaging full of pink and with the \u201cbunny\u201d as one of the main characters that I always draw’.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the illustrations we can see their pink bunnys <\/strong>enjoying coffees, lips or suns in a composition that coexists with their iconic Manolitos<\/strong>, evoking ‘a feeling of warmth, comfort and tenderness’. A concept that connects with the experience of a coffee shop, especially on a date like Valentine’s Day, as Cruz comments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The creative freedom of the Mexican vibrates in this artistic series<\/strong> in which he combines his energetic colors and illustrated positivism. There is a special sensitivity in how I combine the elements, leaving room for imagination and emotional connection’, says the artist. All this is reflected through Manolo Bakes’ typical phrases, which now read: ‘In your box or mine’, or ‘The good thing about this gift is that you don’t have to pretend you like it’.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the collaboration, Manolo Bakes<\/strong> has created the new cherry boom manolitos and palmitas<\/strong> that fuse cherry flavor with a crunchy touch of freeze-dried raspberry. In addition, the coffee shop has launched plush ‘bunny charms’ represented by its pink bunny with a kawaii aesthetic.<\/p>\n\n\n
