The American actor travelled last weekend from London to Seville to attend the Seville European Film Festival<\/strong>. A key international film event where Johnny Depp <\/strong>presented his second film as a director.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arriving on Friday night, the first thing the actor would do would be to enjoy the local gastronomy from one of the most acclaimed haute cuisine restaurants in the Andalusian capital, the R\u00edo Grande<\/a><\/strong> restaurant. Although that day he would only make \u2018a first contact\u2019 in the restaurant with his bodyguard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This historic restaurant<\/strong>, owned by the Carb\u00f3n Group<\/strong>, is known for having hosted Seville’s high society for decades, from artists and actors to celebrities from all over the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just a few steps from the emblematic Triana Bridge, R\u00edo Grande<\/strong> rises to the top of the scene by serving a gastronomic experience centred on local produce and charcoal-grilled cuisine. An identity that is reflected in its menu focused on fish and seafood from the Malaga and Cadiz coasts through dishes, created by chef Mariano Barrero<\/strong>, such as Almadraba red tuna tartar, fried fish, foie mi-cout with shrimp, Barbate sea bass, as well as rice dishes with seafood or lobster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, on Friday night Depp would only have a couple of cocktails, while selecting the room in which they would dine the following evening, at the end of his appearance at the festival. That would be the Sal\u00f3n de B\u00f3vedas, a more intimate space hidden behind large curtains, which he would attend, this time, accompanied by some members of the cast such as the actress Antonia Desplat and some workers from the production company A Contracorriente Films.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sixteen people in total would have the honour of being seated in this exclusive evening in which they shared typical Sevillian dishes<\/strong> such as tapas<\/strong> of ensaladilla, ham, pork loin, sirloin steak in whisky or croquettes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
