If we are what we eat, Trump<\/strong>‘s diet could in some ways represent him perfectly. With just one day to go before the U.S. election result that will choose the next president of the White House, we put the presidential candidate’s bizarre obsession with fast food under scrutiny.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to bring such a food debate to the table, we might start, by way of a starter, with one of his favorite foods, which is served at McDonald’s<\/strong>. In fact, last month, the candidate would visit one of his Pennsylvania establishments to cook and serve fries to customers; while accusing Harris of lying about having worked at the Golden Arches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His addictive love affair with the chain would also be portrayed in the moment he asked the White House kitchen to recreate the McDonald’s meal; although it was eventually revealed that it ‘couldn’t match the satisfaction of the original,’ according to Annie Karni.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like Trump’s love of McDonald’s<\/strong>, his favorite restaurant menu is also documented. This consists of a full dinner consisting of two Big Macs, two Steak-O-Fish sandwiches and a small chocolate milkshake.<\/p>\n\n\n

Food as a political weapon<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Beyond his fondness for hamburgers in particular, Trump <\/strong>has also demonstrated his strange addiction to junk food in general. Food with which he has starred in controversial moments such as the time he interrupted a meeting to order milkshakes, the Starburst candy he allegedly threw at Angela Merkel and the cherry and vanilla ice cream he served to North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. Food becomes another of his controversial political weapons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump also ranks meatloaf <\/strong>on his food podium. In 2005, he and Melania appeared on a Martha Stewart show where they prepared a meatloaf sandwich, which Trump said was his favorite dish.<\/p>\n\n\n

Another of the fast food chains in Trump’s gastronomic imagination is Wendy’s<\/strong>. This is another of Trump’s favorite restaurants, perhaps in part because Nelson Peltz, co-owner of Wendy’s, has donated generously to Trump’s political campaigns. Trump also claims that he prefers eating at well-known chains like Wendy’s to eating at independent restaurants because he fears food poisoning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

KFC<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

KFC<\/strong> is presented as another of the brands that Trump venerates. He has been seen on several occasions eating a bucket of the Colonel’s famous secret chicken recipe. How? with a knife and fork.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pizza Hut<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It seems that Pizza Hut<\/strong> is also part of Trump’s culinary religion. In 1995 he even starred in an ad to promote Pizza Hut’s stuffed dough. As with KFC chicken, since he doesn’t like to get his hands dirty with food, he eats his pizza with a knife and fork.<\/p>\n\n\n
