In this sense, one of the first samples of proto <strong>still lifes <\/strong>were found in<strong> Egyptian funerary tombs<\/strong>, in the form of frescoes on the walls that gathered food such as figs, fish, bread or grapes.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"697\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tapasmagazine.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/800px-Maler_der_Grabkammer_des_Menna_009-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-266891\" style=\"width:954px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tapasmagazine.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/800px-Maler_der_Grabkammer_des_Menna_009-1.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.tapasmagazine.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/800px-Maler_der_Grabkammer_des_Menna_009-1-300x261.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.tapasmagazine.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/800px-Maler_der_Grabkammer_des_Menna_009-1-768x669.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.tapasmagazine.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/800px-Maler_der_Grabkammer_des_Menna_009-1-400x349.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>In <strong>Ancient Rome<\/strong>, the banquets held by the Romans were immortalized through paintings and mosaics on the walls and floor. Their still lifes dedicated to food, then illustrated the social stratum, luxury, wealth or poverty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The<strong> Renaissance <\/strong>restructured collective thought, as well as art. It was a historical moment in which the still life emerged as an<strong> independent genre<\/strong>. Artists such as <strong>Clara Peeters<\/strong> or <strong>Willem Kalf<\/strong> reflected in their still lifes the power of an empire enriched by international trade, among other factors. In the twentieth century, the still life underwent a radical change with the cubist movement, which decomposed reality and plastic forms. Roses, oysters and lobsters are replaced here by ultra-processed supermarket products, which glimpse the accelerated consumption and freneticism of an era that extends to the present day. One in which the <strong>digital or artistic still life<\/strong> is generated through AI, and the physical through empty compositions of meaning as a &#8216;<strong>girls dinner<\/strong>&#8216; projected by a micro-trend of TikTok.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Click here to read the Spanish version.
