Ebro Foods <\/strong>opened the year with record figures, increasing its net profit by 22.7% to 53.7 million euro<\/strong>. These excellent results were achieved largely thanks to its main line of business: its rice division<\/strong>, which closed the quarter with sales of 629.6 million euro, despite the national drought and the consequent readjustment of prices on the markets to compensate for inflation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the company chaired by Antonio Hern\u00e1ndez Callejas<\/strong> recalls that the rains recorded in March in Spain have improved the prospects for the last quarter, increasing the crop in Andalusia and Extremadura. It also wanted to emphasise the good performance of its Rice Division in the Middle East with its brands Tilda and Abu Bint, and in new countries such as Ghana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its pasta business<\/strong>, which includes well-known brands such as Garofalo, closed the quarter with profits doubling, with sales of 178.2 million euro and ebitda of 31.1 million euro, thanks to the increase in consumption, especially of fresh varieties, and the containment of energy and raw material prices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ebro thus achieved record quarterly results, posting a profit of 53.7 million, while generating strong economic optimism for the remainder of the year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
