The main hospitality and collectivities sectors (restaurants, hotels, hospitals, nursing homes and catering) consolidate in 2023 their recovery after the pandemic, reaching 27,800 million euros in the restoration during the year 2023, which is 8% more, according to data from the DBK Sector Observatory of Informa<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Specifically, this report reveals that factors such as the good economic situation, the growth in employment levels, the increase in household consumption and the dynamism of tourism demand have allowed all these sectors to grow significantly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The greater propensity to spend on out-of-home dining and the positive trend in tourist arrivals led the restaurant market to grow by 8% in 2023, to 27.8 billion euros. For its part, the hotel sector recorded growth of 15%, supported by the increase in the number of travelers, both Spanish and, above all, foreign. Also noteworthy was the effect of higher prices on the sector’s turnover, with the value of the market reaching 18.2 billion euros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lastly, the catering sector grew by nearly 6.5% in 2023, to 3.75 billion euros, and all its sub-segments of activity experienced a positive evolution. As a result, the hotel and catering market as a whole continues to be highly fragmented.
