The Mason Jar <\/strong>was the Michigan restaurant that witnessed this emotional act by one of its customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As reported by NBC Chicago<\/strong>, the team was shocked when one of their diners decided to leave a $10,000 tip on a $32 bill after dining at the restaurant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The manager of The Mason Jar Caf\u00e9, in particular, revealed that he was so shocked by the gesture that he approached the man to confirm the exorbitant tip.<\/p>\n\n\n

To begin with, absolute disbelief. We went back and forth. I had a conversation with him. He wanted to go on. He [the waiter] was absolutely shocked,’ manager Tim Sweeney <\/strong>conceded to WOOD-TV<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But what was the real motive behind the tip? The mystery customer was in town to attend the funeral of a friend, and that tip would transcend emotionally as a tribute or homage to his memory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The restaurant’s Instagram<\/a><\/strong> account shared a photo accompanied by the following caption: ‘At a time when so much is going on, we wanted to share and thank the person who did this life-changing act. Sometimes things can get really heavy, but this was such an incredible act to have seen first hand in our restaurant.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n
