A few months ago, Robert de Niro was in the news for the complaint made by one of his former assistants for gender discrimination. And in recent weeks, one of the episodes that were explained during the trial has gone viral. Apparently, according to her former employee, de Niro subjected her to a toxic work environment, with details such as the demand that she ask for an Uber to take her nightly Martinis directly from Nobu, a restaurant where the actor is a partner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This has caused the popular drink to resurface and become a new trend. So much so that many New York bars and restaurants have taken advantage of its viralization to launch special offers, due to increased demand from consumers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although the trend of Martinis take away has not yet established itself as a normal practice, bars such as 9 Jones have organized special actions that include Martinis carts so that customers can go with friends and family. This also motivated the bar to incorporate sophisticated paper cups with its famous Aston Martini cocktail on special dates such as New Year’s Eve, although it was a measure only for certain VIP clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other venues such as El Portrait Bar have created the ‘Martini Ritual’. On this occasion, for a price of $35 per person, the hotel offered guests a private mixologist in their room for two hours to prepare their Cartagena cocktails, their own version of the popular Martini.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
