King Felipe VI has been traveling around Asturias these days visiting two historical companies in the area: Mantequer\u00edas Arias, with more than 175 years of history, and ALSA, which this year celebrates a century of history. And as we already know that in Asturian lands one eats deliciously, His Majesty took advantage of the visit to treat himself at an emblematic cider house in the town of Avil\u00e9s. It is Casa Lin<\/a>, which has been open since 1890.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As published by the newspaper La Nueva Espa\u00f1a, Felipe VI was seen enjoying a typical Asturian meal with the heads of the Princess of Asturias Foundation before returning to La Zarzuela. This is one of the most iconic restaurants in Avil\u00e9s, so the monarch’s visit caused quite a stir in the surrounding area. According to the media, Felipe VI was very friendly and natural and agreed to take pictures with everyone. But which Asturian dishes did he choose?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to eat at Casa Lin<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Casa Lin preserves all the essence of the typical cider house, both in the space and in the dishes of its menu, highlighting above all the products of the land and the sea, such as fish and seafood from the Bay of Biscay. Casa Lin has several spaces: the cider house, the most iconic and the first thing that the diner finds when entering; the restaurant, annexed to the cider house for a more relaxed meal; and the llagar, its most modern space that is located in a separate room, intended mainly for espichas and celebrations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
