King Felipe<\/strong> wanted to celebrate Princess Leonor<\/strong>‘s swearing in ceremony with some friends in the centre of Madrid. Specifically in one of the capital’s fashionable taverns, known as La Castela<\/strong>, located in Calle Doctor Castelo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the tables in this sophisticated tavern was thus occupied by royalty, by Felipe VI<\/strong> and his companions, marking the history of one of the most renowned restaurants with a bar in Madrid, which, since 1989, has been building up Spanish tradition with dishes such as grilled seafood, sweet rice with octopus, as well as classic tapas such as tripe with chickpeas or oxtail, along with its famous vermouth on tap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to what some witnesses have confessed to ‘La Otra Cr\u00f3nica’, the monarch was invited by his companions, who left 50 euros as a tip and left through the main door of the establishment with the King, in a discreet and natural way, surprising all those present.<\/p>\n\n\n

La Castela<\/strong>, whose owner is Jos\u00e9 Luis Rom\u00e1n<\/strong>, continues to add celebrities and\/or high society personalities to its list of clients, which includes Michelle Obama<\/strong>, when she visited Madrid in 2016 to give a talk on the right to education for girls around the world together with Queen Letizia<\/strong>.
